* Let's start with the fun stuff. It is sick season in elementary schools around the nation, so I will just say I do my best at least once a day to maintain composure and try to keep my gag reflex hidden beneath the brave face. And my precious students are learning to just look the other way and put their heads down (instead of saying "ewww" or "grose" or given a lovely loud description across the room) while Miss Davis goes to battle with things too nasty for all of your sweet eyes to read about. I am getting great at disinfecting!
* I am in zombie and bottomless pit mode for some reason these days, which is not a good combination. I feel like I am running on autopilot, and my brain is mushy. I am very much looking forward to Thanksgiving break, where I don't have to think:) I contribute the bottomless pit to the training, but I would like to see all this training do this body some good, so this "eating all I want because I am going to run it off" mentality stops tonight (except for Thanksgiving meals:)!
* My bags are packed, my lesson plans made, and my phone is on me at all times! The whole family is waiting anxiously for the arrival of sweet baby Reese! Be certain that there will be no lack of pictures of this little one all over facebook when she arrives!
* Fires, smores, hot chocolate, soup, sweats, and a good movie make the perfect night for all of this cold weather that is quickly approaching! So please feel free to join me any evening this fall/winter!
So yeah I am pretty sure there were some much more wonderful things I had planned to say but we will pretend like my mush brain made me forget them and that my life is more exciting than the above leads you to believe:)
*BUT I will say that I am so blessed with such great friends. You know those friends that you pick up right where you left off, even when you haven't seen them in months or longer. This weekend was homecoming, which despite the fact that it is a constant reminder of how old we are getting, it is such a wonderful time to see sweet people who have made such a difference in my life and who I know will be lifelong friends!!
